There are many ways to participate in Take Back the Night! We’ve included some information on this page on how you might be able to get involved with Take Back the Night in York Region. If you have any questions, please get in touch!
Get Loud
Our favourite way to ask people to participate in Take Back the Night is by asking them to get loud! If you feel comfortable doing so, tell the people you know about Take Back the Night and why it’s important — or share about it on social media. Our event wouldn’t exist if people didn’t join us in getting loud, and the louder we get the more of an impact we have!
Of course, we’d also love for you to join us during the event. We're still in the process of planning for 2022's Take Back the Night, but when we have information to share, we'll update our site and social media!
Volunteer with Us
Our needs for volunteers change every year. Since we’re still planning this year’s event, we aren’t sure what our volunteer needs might be! If you’re interested, check back here as we get closer to September.
Donate to TBTN
Take Back the Night is not a core-funded initiative — all of our funds are raised! We are very grateful to our donors and sponsors, who get featured on our contributors page and on social media. If you are interested in donating, no amount is too small!
To donate online, you can visit the CanadaHelps page for our host agency, Women’s Support Network — when you do, please include “TBTN” or “Take Back the Night” in your message! If you’d rather donate another way, feel free to reach out using our contact form!
Alternatively, we also sell t-shirts (and some other merchandise) to help raise funds for Take Back the Night. You can find the link to our shop below!
